“Don’t Be Fooled By Imitation”

The ultimate triple threat… actress, singer & dancer Stacey Q (born Stacey Lynn Swain) is best known for her worldwide smash “Two of Hearts”. Her first 3 Atlantic singles soared to the ..1 spot on Billboard’s Dance Chart (“Two Of Hearts, “We Connect” and “Insecurity”) in 1986-1987. She released 3 albums on Atlantic Records (“Better Than Heaven”, “Hard Machine” & “Nights Like This”) and before that in 1983 as part of SSQ released the cult classic “Playback” on EMI America. A “Greatest Hits” followed in 1995 and in 1997 Stacey Q released the critically acclaimed “Boomerang” independently, which spawned the Jamaican top 5 single “Tenderness”. Recently Stacey Q recorded the song “Hear The Feeling” with Simply Jeff (Divine Frequency) for an upcoming educational film documentary that explores the underworld of raves.

As an actress, Stacey Swain was featured on the NBC TV series “The Facts of Life” (1987), in which she had a recurring role as “Cinnamon” (opposite the one and only George Clooney). Later she would go on to appear in the sitcoms “Full House” and “Mama’s Family”, as well as star in the feature films “Cave Girl” & One Man Force”.

As a dancer, Stacey studied classical ballet for 11 years under the direction of Michael Panaieff (at the age of 10 Stacey was the youngest member of the Dance Theatre Of Orange County), as well as Classical Flamenco Dancing under Taodora and Isabella Morca. Throughout the 70’s Stacey was an entertainer at Disney and in Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Stacey Q is also one of the few Westerners formally trained (and authorized to teach) by the Masters themselves in Tibetian Lama Dance, or Cham (an ancient, sacred, monastic ritual). In 2000 Stacey was cast as the lead female, “Yeshe Tsogyal” in the Namsay Dorje Theatre Company’s production of “The Life of Padmasambhava”.

In 2004 Stacey stepped behind the camera and into the voiceover booth as the cartoon character Karin in the English-language version of the Japanese anime, Stratos 4 (available now on DVD).

Currently, Stacey Q is putting the finishing touches on her brand new album “Color Me Cinnamon” which will be released this summer by Hydra Productions. (collaborating once again with famed “Two Of Hearts” producer Jon St. James and also songwriter Shawn Winstian)

The album, Color Me Cinnamon, was released in 2010 and Stacey has been touring in support of the album.
